You think we had protests around the country this past year about policing practices because cops know who the "troublemakers" are? You think "stop and frisk" was about only aimed at "troublemakers"?

cops have contact with the same people over & over. black, white, hispanic, asian, doesnt matter. they know who is on probation|has warrants, when they pull over a someone they know has a warrant & he has an illegal gun on him, thats not someone who wants to better themselves.

Yes, but that presumes cops only pull over folk on probation that they know - they don't. Also, why harass people on probation? And unless the cops see a gun, they can't know the person has one. So folk without guns get stopped and searched.

But thats my point, they KNOW a lot of the people they stop. why harass them? because sadly, many become career criminals who have no intention of getting off the streets...and because they find illegal guns on them.

Stopping citizens who are not committing crimes is harassment.

when youre on parole or probation, searches are part on the conditions for being released from jail. its not harassment. how about instead they just clean up their act and stop committing crimes?

Oh look. You solved crime as part of the human condition - people should just act better. Got it.
