On the 50th anniversary of Roe, the first since it was overturned, I’m devastated for the millions of women who lost their right to bodily autonomy. But we have to celebrate progress, too. Thank you for proposing a budget that would finally end RI’s abortion ban.

One thing I learned in my career is the importance of finding bright spots—reasons to be hopeful, even amidst challenges. The ’s Democracy Forum showed that despite the very real threats democracy faces, there is so much amazing work being done around the world!!

The choice was already clear but today’s debate made it even more obvious. To move RI’s economy forward, lower healthcare costs & protect a woman’s right to choose, we need to send to Congress. Please make sure you vote this Tuesday, RI!!

RI will never live up to its full potential until we can give every single kid an amazing education in our public schools. It doesn’t matter whether you’re an elected official, member of the business community, parent, student or teacher…this has to be our #1 focus.

A candidate for governor should be able to answer this simple yes or no question: do you believe that ALL women in RI should have access to abortion services?

I’ve been clear from the very start – abortion rights were codified in Rhode Island in 2019, and I will not do anything to weaken those protections for women. Dan McKee knows this – so why is he lying? He's desperately trying to distract voters from his failed record.

Thank you for speaking out & highlighting this horrible disparity in coverage. And kudos to leaders like who have been pushing for change in RI. Let’s get it done this year.

In disclosing her cancer diagnosis this morning, @katiecouric highlighted the importance of breast ultrasounds, and how so many states don't mandate insurance coverage for them RI is one of them. Here's where efforts have gone so far: wpri.com/health/katie-c
