Obviously. I'm making the point that it is not through lack of care about species extinction, that I don't think DA's films need to be full of the realities of species extinction.

the fact is he has got far more people at least being concerned about the environment and cognisant of environmental problems than you ever have or ever will. He didn't do as much as he could but who has?

But was it effective? How? Things getting worse not better. No matter how much a national treasure he is.

So, the whole anthropogenic destruction of earth is DA's responsibility? Yes, he should do something. He did. He brought some attention to deforestation, species loss and plastics. Most importantly, he showed the beauty and intrinsic worth of nature = why we should fight for it.

It's often overlooked Attenborough is not merely a presenter, (unlike many he also writes the script) He is an old school natural scientist whose knowledge covers an exhausting breadth of biology. he has also warned repeatedly about environmental degradation & population control

I agree I dread the day he leaves us makes me well up thinking of that -no one has done more to get people engaged with the wider natural world and that wealth of experience gives him a view of how the environment can be protected -not yours George but a view
