The 1,000 plus workers at the refinery and residents deserve a real transition plan. And our city has a lot of work to do to prioritize clean energy and sustainable futures for everyone.
Those workers should be the first to get trained to work renewable energy jobs for the city or the city compensate their loses
Tear it down, clean it up and turn it into a park of some sort, like Stockholm’s Royal Djurgarden. Would be an amazing way to greet visitors to the city
No replacement plan in place. 90% of the company laid off today without severance and only vacation pay. The rest to be laid off within the month.
