2. There is a 3rd #Ebola case, reported today. WHO has no info on this case at this point. Assume the person is alive because there was no mention of a 3rd death.
The first 2 cases were epidemiologically linked. The first case in this cluster was the wife of a Ebola survivor.
3. @DrMikeRyan says 182 contacts of the #Ebola cases have been identified; all but 3 have be contacted & are being followed. That's good news.
Better news: Over half were vaccinated in the 2018-2020 outbreak. If the Ebola vaccine protection is durable, we should see it here. 
4. #Ebola vaccine — enough for 16,000 people — is already in Butembo & vaccination teams were being trained today. Should be easier to use the vaccine this time because it's a licensed vax now.

5. A lot of the pieces of an #Ebola response are in place should they be needed. @DrMikeRyan says logistics on the ground are difficult — they were last time too. Here's hoping this will be moped up quickly. The world doesn't need another Ebola outbreak there — now or ever.
