My favorite horrifying music choice of figure skaters is the score to Requiem for a Dream. I don't watch a lot of skating but for a couple years every time I caught it someone was a skating to that music! None of them must have seen the film, or who could skate to the memory?!
Oh that’s a bugbear of mine too! The BBC used to use it a lot in trailers for shows, and I found it impossible to ignore the "ass to ass” associations - HZ
