As someone with chronic hand trouble and sometimes a cane, I tell people that it is alright to ask about my body when a conversation is already deep enough to discuss the good, bad, joyful and painful of life. “What happened to your arm?” is not an acceptable sub for “Hello.”

When I was a kid, early nineties, there were easy bake cakes for the microwave. The chocolate one was the best thing I ever ate. Maybe it was that we always had it immediately so it still was hot. Vanilla custard on top. So so good.

In re visible crew/equipment in a film: Your informant doesn't specify where these problems appeared in the film they saw at the palace, but boom mikes are often visible at the top of the screen in a film as delivered to theaters... (1)

...it's the job of the projectionist to frame the film properly so these details aren't seen at the edge of the frame as projected. So at a guess, the problem may have been a subpar palace projectionist, not a "rough cut" of the film.
