In the past three years of working on large safety critical systems, I've learned that verification isn't the real problem, but it's writing specifications. Don't @ me.

  2. I mean who wrote the female characters?! A 16 year old boy's idea of a woman? All these plot holes! Dreadful slow pacing, with very little character development? I mean what a disappointment.

  3. I spent my 12 hour plane ride to Japan binging the Witcher. And it's legit some of the worst TV I've seen. Twitter is definitely wrong about this one.

  5. I'm pretty tired of the narrative that middle class should cut back on air travel, when the wealthy fly privately, excessively and often, whilst the rest of us are packed like sardines for the occasional holiday.

  7. I really appreciate all the speaker invitations I've gotten in the past few months! But my travel schedule is booked months ahead, and I prioritize work and personal health first. If you're interested in having me speak, please let me know well in advanced!

  8. *Laughs in British* Leave to Remain fees are £3189, whilst a citizenship afterwards costs £1330. A total of £4519, which is roughly $6000. There is this impression that the US has the worst immigration process, but I'm pretty sure the UK takes the cake on this one.

  10. We told family and friends on New Year's Eve that we had to leave the party early to attend another, and then rushed home to get into our pajamas and celebrate 2020 cuddling in bed. No regrets.

  13. I started saving for PhD admissions 2nd year of Uni. I aimed for the top 10 schools, which meant I needed ~$1200. I skipped meals and other essentials to do this, hoping it would pay off. No one should have to go through this, or limit application numbers due to it.

The fact that Boris Johnson said “I am in favour of PEOPLE OF COLOUR coming to this country but I think we should have it democratically controlled” shows that the “immigration crisis” is centred around racism where only white foreigners are deemed acceptable as immigrants.
