I’m so pleased to see all the fundraisers for Democrats. I don’t think there is any disrespect for Justice Ginsburg whatsoever. I knew her slightly and know her work and she was above all pragmatic. 1/

Justice Ginsburg’s husband was my colleague. She grieved his death deeply. But it did not paralyze her. She did not see any inconsistency between mourning and working. 3/

All the fundraisers for all the Democrats are the work we must do, right now. The values for which Justice Ginsburg stood are all on the line. It would be an insult to her memory to have decorum interfere with the demands of this urgent fight for constitutional democracy. 4/
