"West Brit" is a slur in some Irish circles to designate someone of Irish ancestry/birth who identifies with the English cultural/political traditions Ppl who wield it generally go by long & bloody unpronounceable traditional Irish names and put an O or Mc in front of last name

That's not quite right Jeet, it's not being used against the English, "West Brit" is slang refering to Irish people who are percieved as more English in attitude or outlook. See also "Jackeen" Source: Am Irish, "West Brit" refers to Irish people.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. So the idea is that imitating the English causes racial degeneration.
