1. Lots of countries are taking advantage of Trump era to maximize their status (Russia, Saudi Arabia, Israel, both Koreas). Not the EU though. Europe is paralyzed.

I don't really agree. We have options, but sitting Trump out seems to be the smartest approach so far. If he and MAGA should last in the USA, things will change though.

I would think that savvy countries would just entrap Trump with bribery and leak it to get him out of the picture. The going may be good now for some, but there’s the ever present risk that Trump will taint present deals and gains would be lost in a swift policy course correction

Although a swift policy course correction could just mean upholding our commitments again, even if said commitments are dogged by questions as to whether they were procured through corruption.
