The fact that all of these people who got it so wrong, even if they now admit it, are still prominent pundits and commentators tells me *we* didn't learn anything. I don't care if *they* did. The fact we still see them as anything but pariahs is unbelievable.

I think you have to temper you Iraqi analysis with the idea the idea that eventually Iraq was going to have a civil war. American intervention accelerated the event, but very difficult to judge if the actual chaos and slaughter was made worse by the intervention or not.
