I guess I'm tainted by default for suggesting that it might be ok to link to something she wrote unrelated to the original sin. Quick, shun and block me before they get you too!

Replying to @jengerson @vmochama
Flip this around: we have to sit around and be cool with a wide-eyed conspiracy racist just because There's Only Second Acts in the punditry world?

Exactly. It's not like there are a lot of good examples of her acting in good, non-conspiratorial, non-racist, non-toxic ways. The Obama-as-Muslim thing is just an example of her genre, and illustrates what she represents.

OK, so just so we're clear; it is not completely out of bounds for anyone to link to anything SAL has ever written under any circumstances. That's the standard now, yes?

Replying to @bruce_arthur @jengerson and
but we can and should recognize certain people as the toxic, racist, demonstrably bad-faith forces they are. It's pretty disingenuous to limit the record of SAL as One Bad Opinion On Obama

I would say,
@HeerJeet can answer to his intent, but I don't think he said that. He is pointing out the problems with citing SAL in this instance. Which, frankly, are not hard to figure out2 replies 0 retweets 3 likes
yeah, i'm not calling for anyone to be ostracized. I'm saying it's a hell of thing to cite SAL in making argument against white privilege.
