Well, if it is (& I say it's not), they are doing it wrong. It's more like a car club. Everyone with a BMW (for instance), is welcome, but a lot of em are dicks, so ya know, stay home & skip the meetings.

serving as gateway isn't necessarily the problem, it's that they think because they're not religious they're superior and can't be to blame and thus there is no self-reflection. The truth is organizing around a negative assertion is never going to lead to good results

They fell flat on their faces with an inability to deal with sexism and predatory men. I have no doubt they'll fail to take a lesson from this as well. Mostly they're smug white dude assholes who want to offend people.
