Arguably, America's long constitutional crisis that runs from Nixon to Trump, animated by GOP belief that "law & order" superior to "rule of law." Usual response to crisis has been punishes "bad apples" (Nixon, Oliver North, Scooter Libby). Not good enough.

The mistake made again & again is thinking if the bad apples are gone, system will be fine. Nixon resigns, etc. But it's not the bad applies. There's something wrong with the apple barrel itself.
