the problem I continually run into is that "providing very textured, accurate explanations of events" appears to be mostly useless politically

The Chapo people may well play a nice cultural game, but I doubt they're getting supported by anyone outside the same milieu that was going to support them anyway. I could hardly call them a genuine working-class voice (you know, the very people they purport to want to help)?

Thinking more on it I'd say Chapo also lacks much of a political strategy (aside from Virgil Texas, who is more savvy about electoral stuff than rest of crew).
