Will add that the main drivers of Korean development are Moon & Kim. But Trump deserves real credit for openness to talks. This is one case where his fabled pragmatism is paying off.

What's interesting is that there are, so far, few other revisionist powers. Putin's Russia is one. But Germany, Japan & even China remain status quo powers.

What seems strange to some folks is how this sounds like a standalone thing, but looks more like a significant chunk of a bigger picture wherein the US actively weakens it's allied relationships which makes way for its enemies to agressively exploit the erosions.
