Did one grow up while capitalism's rough edges were still sanded down by something like a functioning social democracy with labor unions (at least for the white middle class), while the other grew up during the transition to neoliberalism & precarity, as all that was dismantled?

I think 50%+ of millennials not supporting capitalism is inevitable given the circumnsances of their lives (low wage growth, the death of the full-time job, full state capture by capital, ecological collapse) and I'm surprised it's not a higher % tbh

I think an underappreciated part of this graph is that Democrats have merely reverted back to their 2011 position, not some unusual historical low
