Oh come on. That's a non sequitur. My point is many worked for decades to end slavery without resorting to killing slave owners and burning down plantations. Were they hypocrites? Would you respect Kevin Williamson if he advocated kidnapping pregnant women to save their babies?

Abolitionists took direct action against slavery (underground railroad) that involved breaking the law. Which is what you would do if you think something is a great moral evil. And of course there were slave revolts.
