I don't read that line as saying there are equivalent moral issues between Israel's occupation and Nazi Germany--and if most people did there'd be a huge uproar.

"mistreatment of those from *today's* atrocities" In the sentence immediately preceding it she was talking about the Holocaust. Seems like she was trying to connect the two in some way to me.

She is saying a) Israel as a Jewish state is justified because of the Holocaust and that b) Jewish values don't align with occupation and/or mistreatment of African refugees. Really don't see the Nazi Germany comparison
