I hear you but i think the idea that this is a new complaint (by the show runners) isn't accurate. And now with tools like twitter it's easier to organize people and get the message out. FWIW There are still those who don't care, think it is worth a fight and like Apu to this day

I also think there is a fascinating conversation to have around how people raised here feel opposed to those who weren't because especially when I was a kid? There was very little representation. And even when Apu started there wasn't a lot. Vs people who grew up in South Asia

I also wonder if this is a function of not growing up different and with no representation. I'm circling 54, I was born and raised in New England. When I talk to a lot of South Asians my age they are immigrants. Our experiences are very different.
