I like how we've had to use up two weeks patiently and methodically explaining why "we should hang women who have abortions" is a stupid & cruel thing to say. This is time well spent.

I really don't understand the argument "Williamson could've been aborted so he has strong feelings"? Isn't that true, on some level, of everyone. All writers are former fetuses. Not all of us thinking hanging women for abortion is acceptable.

The whole argument of Kevin Williams, former fetus and hypothetical abortion survivor calls to mind Nabokov's comment about "bitter little embryos" in "Speak, Memory"pic.twitter.com/iFLy8KuxLe

Not surprisingly, Jack Kirby anticipated the whole Kevin Williamson thing, with one of his most bizarre villains: Paranex, the Fighting Fetus.pic.twitter.com/JiD7trvbZv

The claim about Williams as abortion survivor seems to be saying: if Williamson's mom had aborted him, he (who wouldn't exist) would be fully justified in thinking she should hang. It's only self-defense!

Anyways, if I were really on my A game, I would've roped in other sentient embryos in literature and culture (Tristram Shandy, Dune, Freud).
