Or they could expand the sphere of ideas like The Washington Post has done and like I hoped they'd do as someone who relied on them as my #1 source for politics during the Obama years. Instead, I think I'm a Jacobin reader now. Which has its own set of limitations.

I don’t think it matters whether The Atlantic is considered liberal or centrist. Williamson’s advocacy for hanging women negates his inclusion in any REPUTABLE publication. His firing is a “vile” vs “journalism” argument, not right vs left.
