So Alias Grace just became available on Netflix Canada. It's been available on Netflix elsewhere in the world for 6 months. Why did we get it last? Because we helped pay for it. It's a CBC co-production. Make sense? Not really.

Why not put it everywhere? We paid for it. CBC mandate is to make content available to Canadians through most efficient means available. Distribution should be about ubiquity, not exclusivity.

It's standard. Happens with BBC shows too. They run the season THEN it's on Netflix. Same thing with River (BBC) last fall.
