2. Lee is listed as the writer, Kirby as the artist. But in fact it was more complex. They had talked about story together briefly, but Kirby drew art (i.e. all plot, characters, scene setting) & then Lee added dialogue.
They didn’t always talk through a story, so we never really know to what extent Lee was involved in the plot.
I’m not trying to tease it apart, just point out that while we know some of the stories got talked through, not all did, so that’s not an assumption we can make granularly.
Right, it's usually impossible to know how much they talked but generally true that they talked more in early work, and less as years went by (&, I'd guess, not at all after Kirby moved to California).
