Imagine if a white #settler reporter tells a well respected Indigenous scholar/professor he has no idea on the background of colonialism...
If we can’t figure this out in Canada
in spite of our professed shared value for #multiculturalism, where does that leave us? #peacehttps://twitter.com/terryglavin/status/975154327676370944 …

I have no expertise on this subject, nor do I have any interest in getting involved in this debate. But, I do care to live in a
that encourages us to learn the shared humanities of the many cultures that exist within our national boundary. Our world needs it desperately now.pic.twitter.com/1lZnT0iXHX

I care to live in that kind of Canada too. That's why I've written several books about, or touch upon, colonialism, indigenous rights, etc. In any case the subject at hand was about Amritsar in 1984. I was there at the time, filing to the Globe and Mail. I needed no lectures.

You don't have to delete this tweet of yours, Jeet, but for some reason it keeps popping back in my feed. I explained to you why and how you were wrong. You could always apologize I guess.
-
I find your explanation plausible since your original tweet still reads to me like you are saying "go away"
