Michael Thurlow: I am a Nazi. Jon Kay: Michael Thurlow is not a Nazi. Me: If someone says he's a Nazi, that's good enough for me. What's puzzling is why Kay is making a fool of himself.pic.twitter.com/dxfkInJGNg

I mean, even in 1933-1945, most Nazis didn't run actual concentration camps. And the Nazis that existed since then don't have power, so they can't, but they do have the ideology.
There are people influenced by Nazi ideology who are killing people in the present. The fact they don't run concentration camps is of little comfort to me. Yet Kay wants to discount this reality. Why? https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2018/01/the-resurgent-threat-of-white-supremacist-violence/550634/ …
Weirdest No True Scotsman ever
Like arguing you can’t be a Communist after the Soviet Union fell.
Like the only real Christians were at the last supper?
like we are supposed to wait politely until the Nazi starts building camps before we oppose them. Sorry, but no.
@JonKay wants his #NationalPostialist
forces to be arrayed in good order before we notice
To be #Nazi you must be all of
1. #fascist (incl “#libertarian”)
2. #racist (#WhiteSupremacist) esp v Jews
3. #nationalist
4. #militarist
5. #SocialDarwinist
6. actually admire #AdolfHitler
7. unconcerned with lying by the powerful
8. swastika’d
Missing any two makes you “Neo-“
The guy in question ticks off every one of those boxes. I’ve been watching him on Twitter closely for two months now.
Where do you get that from?
Follow Jon Kay's twitter feed for the last couple of days. Thurlow is a neo nazi whackjob and Kay is defending him, basically by saying the guy didn't run a concentration camp so he's in the clear.
