2. The Washington Post this morning credited Trump's "leadership" for changing gun conversation. That seems largely wrong.

3. Trump's acceptance of a few mild reforms (bump stocks etc) does seem to be moving Republicans. But he's said a lot of gibberish as well (arming teachers). He's following, not leading public opinion on this.
