Is the argument here that Donald Trump's first national security advisor was so stupid he pled guilty to lying to FBI when in fact he didn't lie?https://twitter.com/ByronYork/status/963383106052018177 …

Or is he taking the fall to protect, for instance, his son?

I think their argument is that Flynn pled guilty to something he didn't do because that dastardly FBI threatened his son. Remember, in Trumpland this is all the fault of the "liberal FBI."

Pled to a lesser charge he was not guilty of to avoid being charged and convicted of a more serious charge he knew he was guilty of?

Yup. But stops short of saying Flynn too stupid to be NSA. Two things here: 1) he is twisting the FBI thought he was being honest in interview, and 2) he is confirming McGahn's alarmist Logan Act warnings.

Lots of people letting Sean Hannity do their thinking these days.

The conspiracy theory is about the FBI been so corrupted that they forged a false-statements prosecution even if they knew the man did not lie 🙄

There is no argument, merely more obfuscation. York is apparently running a long con, kitchen sink variation of the Chewbacca Defense. The audaciousness of his BS makes it even more baffling -- a feature, not a bug.

What could it possibly mean that conducting an "investigation" has "revealed" "evidence" of "guilt," which the criminal then "confirmed"? Sounds fishy to me
