Advice to lit crits: there's a great book to be written about the literary & personal dialogue of 1960s feminist science fiction writers: Le Guin, Tiptree, Russ & (odd gay man out) Delany.

Especially in 1970s, Le Guin & co were all reading each other, corresponding heavily & also responding responding to each others fiction with counter-fiction.

For example, Delany's Trouble on Triton was written as a response to Le Guin's The Dispossessed, offering a different slant on sex & utopia.

As last RT notes there's been work on this. But I still think there is room for focused work on 1960s/1970s cohort, written in manner of Menand's The Metaphysical Club.
