I understand it. I just it's being used an easy excuse for not angering a president who is petty w people he is angry with.

Any decent reporter should take in Trump being angry at them. And be embarrassed if he isn't.

Matt has an argument in this case. Catching Trump in lies has had little to no effect so far. There is no one holding him accountable, so all you accomplish is being another PR venue for him. That said, I still have hope that someday the on-record lies will catch up to him.
