There are a range of views out there on various spectrums from 'Lucian is so sci-fi' to 'erm, Lucian is so not sci-fi, BUT STILL' - the conversation is still very much developing.

Ancient Greek "science" informs a good deal of medieval Catholic "science" of course: and in both cases it's science more hospitable to Fantasy in the broader sense than the sort of SF that has developed, post-Renaissance (tho that's also suffused in the Classics)
