1. I'm always amazed at critics (ahem Darko Suvin cough cough) who argue science fiction is superior to fantasy. In truth, science fiction is a branch of fantasy.

8. Bourgeois mimetic fiction is inherently conservative in that it emphasizes stability of world & limits to change. Fantastika based on hope or fear that world is unstable.

Let's be real: All music (if it isn't acoustic without amplification) is electronic music, and all fiction is fantasy. Naturalistic fiction is imagined ergo fantastic.

Disagree. Fantasy usually invokes alternate myths and worlds, not extensions of accepted myths and worlds. A book about demons and exorcisms isn't "fantasy" not because it's real but because it is centered in a common mythos.
