As long as we advantage religious organizations we are going to have a practical problem of determining what is actually a religious organization. Only way to eliminate the problem is to eliminate the tax/other advantages.

Yes. But that was changed by the 14th amendment and the doctrine of incorporation. We spend too much time talking about the original meaning of the bill of rights but not nearly enough talking about the original meaning/purpose of the civil war amendments (13, 14, 15).
