I'd guess < 10% of Google is from California. It changes local demographics more than it is influenced by them.

Kind of odd that suddenly it's only CA's population that matters for these statistics. Also CA is ~11% Asian, not 30%.

Google is very service selective in it's hiring process and they don't limit their hiring to CA.

Umm.. The 30% Asian figure is quite accurate for tech all around the USA.

Kansas City, Detroit, Chicago, etc. At 30% of folks in tech are of Asian descent.
