My hot take? Too many hot takes for one to take. The optics may be bad but, conventional wisdom says she/he may be looking ahead to 18.

Strange as it may sound, but Dave Sim predicted Politicon back in 1982 in his alternative comic book Cerebus the Aardvark.
-
In 1982, Sim was in the midst of serializing his first graphic novel "High Society" where Cerebus the Aardvark becomes Prime Minister.

I'm probably bad and part of the problem if I enjoyed it. Yup.

80's Dave Sim was an almost unmatched creative talent, who gave us some of the best graphic novels ever. 90's/00's Dave Sim...was a mess.
-
I think this comic is from '82, when politics had already begun to fuse with Hollywood via Reagan, so maybe Sim saw where it was all headed.
