Cut away some of the dreary love triangle and Enemy at the Gates is a decent Stalingrad film. For the opening river crossing scene alone.

Filmed multiple times, just not by Hollywood. Last version, in 3D and Russian, dates from 2013.

German movie "Stalingrad" (1993) is a highly underrated war film.

Enemy at the Gates was pretty good, too. Frames Stalingrad from Vassily Zaytsev's story.

Yeah, I think that and the Warsaw Uprising (of which there's a recent, odd-looking film) are two of the obvious ones.
