But what people want is their sociocultural experience reflected back to them in mass media. Desiring social specificity isn't blindness.

Most Indian immigrants I know see at least some of their experience or cultural expression reflected in Bollywood films.

I dunno. I know lots of Canadian-born children of immigrants who watch films from Bollywood, Hong Kong, etc.
