30% of Americans believe it's okay to not sell housing to blacks. That's millions of people http://journalistsresource.org/studies/society/race-society/white-racial-attitudes-over-time-data-general-social-survey …

Millions believing the government shouldn't force people to do something does not racism make.

Given the history of discrimination against black people in housing in the USA, I'd say it does.

It patently does not. Plus, assuming the worst motives for your political opponents does not elevate the conversation.

Given centuries of slavery and Jim Crow, black people have no reason to assume your motives are good.

Firstly, I was born 1987, so I would be rather insulted if anyone assumed I have a history of supporting Jim crow and slavery.

No, but you've inherited (and benefited from) a social system built on slavery and Jim Crow.

For example, I don't think the government should make adultery illegal. Doesn't make me an adulterer or pro adultery.

Adultery is a private matter. Denying housing to black people (as has happened countless times) has social impact.

I think adultery has an immense social impact. And I favor current housing laws. Just saying skepticism doesn't equal racism.

You can't legislate on adultery without entangling law in private family decisions. Not so with anti-discrimination laws.
