I don't know that we need new gov't funding. There's something to be said for our tradition of independent commercial papers.

I suspect there a new revenue model will take shape in the next two or three years or a many more papers will close.

As a stop gap measure, is it so bad if the feds buys some ads in newspapers -- the ones you like and the ones you don't like?
