@HeerJeet This is not an argument for Brooks hitting up Applebee's salad bar more often, it's a call for NYT to have more inclusive roster.
4. But the social limits that Brooks describes are part & parcel with a limited ideological horizon.
5. Brooks is a very moderate neo-conservative. Many of the people who columnize in Washington Post, New York Times, etc. are same.
@HeerJeet Before NH there was that huffy quote about "I don't see any Trump signs" or somesuch
@HeerJeet http://www.cafepress.com/mediabastard/13401281 … MIPs is denied if you make over 250k a year.:)
@HeerJeet But hasn't major element of Brooks's brand been that he was liaison between the beltway and common folk?
@HeerJeet I'm surprised though that the author of "Bobos in Paradise" couldn't understand Trumpism, even if he only studied liberal factors.
@HeerJeet Specially as one doesn't socially intermingle w his supporters. One pulls up a chair, rests one's dogs, & has a brew or 2 with em.
@HeerJeet I've played this game with many of my DC politico friends: None of them know anyone who actually supports Trump. Not a single one.
