@HeerJeet in medias res is the cheapest, most overused screenwriting trick that robs the audience of building suspense.

@HeerJeet as for prequels, can't really argue, though I call stuff like Prometheus (which I quite liked) and the recent Thing a "premake"...
@HeerJeet ...because they are essentially retelling the story they are supposedly a prequel to. It can be done well, just usually isn't.
