I don't think Trump will suffer at all from this debate. Quite the contrary. Aside from Iowa, where he lags Carson, he's in good shape.

So will Trump win? I still don't think so because he doesn't have GOTV infrastructure and gets bored easily.

A Trump with a little bit more fire in the belly could win this. But he seems tired and bored. Maybe will pass on mantle to Cruz.

If Jeb drops out, Trump has every reason to declare victory and say that Cruz will carry on his legacy.

My operating theory is that Trump's real goal is not to win but get attention & to ratfuck Jeb. (Note: ratfuck is a technical term).
