      12. Buckley and Rockwell had had a history. Rockwell, in pre-Nazi days, sold National Review subscriptions. Corresponded with WFB.

      15. As a debater, Buckley was at his best against conventional liberals, whose incoherence he could dismantle. Not good against radicals.
