7. Goal wasn't democratic Iraq but a compliant Iraq. The damning thing about Iraq was was they couldn't even achieve a compliant Iraq.

@normative I think that's true. Post-WWII resurgence of democracy in Germany and (in lesser way) Japan due to local factors more than USA.
