@HeerJeet So the trouble with Charlie is they're inept?
@HeerJeet Yeah "regroupement familiale" doesn't mean family reunion. It's an immigration term for family reunification. So while mocking...
@HeerJeet EU immigration policy, it uses racist caricatures to do so.
3. For a cartoon magazine, Charlie Hebdo is singularly obtuse about the actual message conveyed by images (as opposed to the intent).
@HeerJeet or mebbe, their "singular obtuseness" about issues has been pointed out severally and they don't care.
@HeerJeet Whatever happened to the death of the author?
@HeerJeet I find myself completely unable to see this interpretation
@HeerJeet @MazMHussain Exactly. They "mock" callousness by perpetuating it and mocking the victims, never the perpetrators
@HeerJeet How do you know that the intent is that? Definitely can’t tell from the cartoon itself.
@HeerJeet That's 1 possible interpretation of the intent, but the execution allows other, more sinister intent! I don't think they r stupid
