@HeerJeet If you trace Spider-Man back to Simon/Kirby's "The Fly," that other character was also an obvious riff on Captain Marvel. -
@HeerJeet Other issue is Kirby sometimes claimed *he* created Spider-Man — he submitted a rehash of The Fly, Stan rejected it for Ditko's.
