Can anyone think of recent works of history that have been deeply marked by E.P. Thompson's Making of the Working Class (now 40 years old)?
@yeselson Hobsbawm went in opposite direction of Thompson. Started 18th century and moved forward to short 20th century (and beyond).

@HeerJeet Right. EJH went forward to historicizing his own lifetime, almost literally up to the day he died. Foucault went backwards too. -
