It’s been argued that the rise of fascism is because people are bored. I have a few far right members of my family who i believe are fascists because they are bored because modern technology has made their lives easy.

Here in the 21st, I worry that humanity is on the cusp of a dystopia of concentrated wealth and machines doing all the meaningful or respected work that used to lead to social citizenship. The fear is still that this will lead to endless spiritual boredom. Not that different?
