Garry Wills mentions this in Confessions of a Conservative, and it's one of my favorite details about Frank Meyer: he'd occasionally wonder if National Review was actually a CIA outfit—WFB of course had been in the CIA. So was his sister Priscilla (NR managing editor)

Usually James Burnham would be mentioned in this context, too, but technically (I believe) he was in the OSS, not the CIA

Burnham was consultant with CIA, and maintained some ties till the end. Among other things, he organized Ukrainian insurgents hoping to stir up rebellion in USSR (many of whom were former SS)
